The Palms
Many know The Palms as international icons, but few realise they were created to help solve Dubai's beach shortage. The Ruler of Dubai drew a sketch of a palm tree, realising its fronds would provide more beach frontage than a traditional circular island.
From this moment on the Palm islands were no longer a vision but a project that would rival any on the planet. The Sheikh would ensure this development became a symbol of just how advanced Dubai had become and to ensure his vision became a reality.
Nakheel were given the task of completing the project and over the years they have changed the very texture of the city with landmarks of ingenuity, distinctive residential communities, unique retail offerings and unprecedented investment opportunities. Nakheel's focus is on building icons that embody innovation and progress, creating a legacy of value for generations to come. The design of these unique areas were jaw dropping and the world waited with baited breath to see how such a monstrous project would progress.
