Diving in Dubai
Dubai is not just a state full of amazing hotels, fantastic cars and luxurious living, there is also a wonderful world to be explored beneath the warm waters of the gulf.
With the constant sea temperature set at a minimum of 75degress and sometimes raising to 93degrees this is an ideal place to learn your first dive or for the more experienced diver to relax and enjoy the surroundings without the everyday standard shiver you would receive from diving in colder climates.
Since the construction of the palm and the world, underwater visibility has become slightly obscured, however do not let this detract from the experience and most dive schools in the area are well aware of the areas to visit and not to visit.
There is a cruise liner which sunk in the 1960s just outside Dubai. this has become extremely popular with divers. Outside of the Titanic this ship encountered the highest loss of life at sea. A total of 238 passengers perished when a terrorist blew a hole in the ship. The ship was supposed to have docked however it was delayed in a major storm and the explosion occurred at sea instead of in the port. .
The marine life is astonishing, so if you do have the near clear cut underwater camera equipment you are bound to take home some quite amazing pictures of the life beneath the sea.

Divers Down
Divers Down is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Instructor Development Centre and Official Project AWARE Partner, which offers the diver and non-diver a chance to plunge into the tropical warm waters of the Indian Ocean, and explore the diverse and prolific marine life it has to offer.
The centre is nestled between the tropical gardens of the Oceanic Hotel and the white sandy beach of Khorfakkan, offering a view out across the Indian Ocean. Palm trees shade the diving centre and the cool breeze from the ocean gives the place a calming “I’m on holiday feel.”
Sandy Beach Diving Centre
The Sandy Beach Diving Centre, the complete diving resort, offering great diving, modern dive facilities and premier accommodation, The ocean is just a stones throwaway and our Housereef 'Snoopy Island' 20 meters from the Beach is fun for snorkelers and divers alike.
At the Centre you will find our PADI training facility offers a range of diving courses from Entry Level to Professional Level. Our custom-built dive boats depart twice daily from Sandy Beach to some of the most fantastic dive sites on the East Coast. Full day trips and overnight trips can be arranged to take you to the wonderful dive sites in northern Oman with steep walls and caves. We accept certificates from all diving associations.

Scuba 2000 is a resort and diving centre nestled among palm groves directly on Al Bidiya beach at the foot of the Hajjar Mountains on the east coast of the UAE about one and a half hours drive from Dubai.
